Rock in Rio Lisboa: One year from now

Rock in Rio was created by Roberto Medina. The event had 3 editions in Brazil (1985, 1991 and 2001) and was then named Rock in Rio for a Better World. The name was due to the fact that some of its revenue was used in social projects in Rio de Janeiro.
When Roberto Medina decided to bring the festival to Europe, Portugal was the natural choice and, just before Euro 2004, we had the 4th edition: Rock in Rio Lisboa. In 2006 we had the 5th edition and today, the countdown to Rock in Rio Lisboa 2008 started with a fantastic fireworks show that ended with a 2Km waterfall fireworks.

    Wow, I saw a great display for the 100th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge put on by the Grucci Family.
    It was the best I'd ever seen.
    This looks better :) I hope that you had a good time.

    Hi Carlos, are you serious? When was this? I just have to add it to the endless growing list of EVENTS I HAVE MISSED IN LX (these fireworks, I mean). It looks like it was wonderful, I've never seen fireworks by Pe. 25/A. But I plan to go to the desert...er, sorry Margem Sul next weekend to see Portugal à Rufar, Ed. 3 in Seixal. Coming?
    And you'd be very welcome at Time & A Word too! Faz anos hoje, yep!

    I guess we're getting a little envie from Portugal now cause you get to have Rock in Rio almost every year and here in Rio... we don't!
